Regarding law and justice, many explosive examples can certainly be cited. There are certainly more relevant other case studies in which horrible crimes have been committed, e.g., murder, invasion and rape. The lovely and disgusting in this world hardly finds an undrawn line to stir our will and we then indignantly and often rightly cry "injustice". We want to offer a sublime perspective. For we assume that few are directly affected. Part One is about the real world, dealing with the question of law and justice in the context of using illegal substances to enhance performance for personal bests. In Part Two, we leave general rules. Break them. It is no longer possible to speak of scientific knowledge here at the end. The Principium Individuationis up to the negation, the supposed "enlightenment" during lifetime, is applied imaginatively, up to the superstition of the super-natural. A personal moral responsibility, which a player might have when playing a game and breaking the rules decisively and sensitively. The most fundamental metaphysical question of eternal justice is to be answered [clearly?]. Since we consider this everything as a kind of hobby, an enjoyment in the spare time, so we allow ourselves the liberty, the arrogance, as if it was also nothing else than an absurdity, to use the form of the plural, because it is a game with the opposite, although just only I, the author in time and space, can be called to the earthly account completely alone for the written and played.

Part 1. The doping scandal in the real world of triathlon.
Guilt and atonement. These are not even the correct counterpart of law and justice. Since all 4 words are deeply intertwined- and “crime and punishment” is a book title that has already been used mentally for our work here, we start this post the same way.
An individual training at a world class level towards a world championship. The competition can be considered the crown of endurance sports. The triathlon in Hawaii. Such a competition needs rules. So that this can be carried out lawfully and with justice. Also, the prohibited taking of performance-enhancing substances is not only in the rulebook of a particular triathlon. There is a law for it in Germany since 20151.
Gesetz zur Bekämpfung von Doping im Sport vom 10. Dezember 2015
First, it is important to deduce and question the intentions and a possible motive for the crime to get a better understanding of the case. A feeling for the endurance sport, for a competition and especially of the professional triathlon. "A willingness to do things that are far outside the norm to get the most out of one's performance."2
“How they train- The Biggest DOPING Scandal in Triathlon History JUST Happened”
The video is not only meant to give a feeling, the insight into another scene, it is equally meant to give the feeling of this high will affirmation. We specifically choose this example, the ideas from §60 WWR, the example of our favourite philosopher, we do not want to contradict, that just this in §60 listed that of the most assertion of the will is - but we do not want to imagine such an example now. We are in a completely different sphere. That of the professional triathlon. We like to speak of spheres. The intentions? Because to understand a legal case, we must question intentions and get to know motifs. We want to dive into the spheres of the perpetrator and those of the possible victims. Here we may quote an Indian philosopher to understand the aspiration of these athletes striving for heroism:
Why is it that we crave to be recognized, to be made much of, to be encouraged?...Why is it that we cling to our exclusiveness of name, position, acquisition? Is anonymity degrading, and to be unknown despicable?…Through privilege, cleverness, or capacity and efficiency, one arrives somewhere near the top - though the top is never the top, for there is always a more and more…3
It is to describe the essence of the striving human being. The objectivation of the will in mankind, the striving individual for the best possible performance worldwide. The associated struggle and determination necessary to push the human body to its limits and beyond. The accompanying temptation to break rules to achieve this goal of being at the top. To break the law and thereby deprive others of justice. Because by breaking the law, the competition is no longer fair. If an athlete takes banned substances, which are clearly on a banned list, i.e., for which there is a clearly definable right, i.e., the prohibition to use them. This sportsman makes himself punishable at least according to German jurisdiction. Doping in the criminal law sense is the use of illicit means to enhance athletic performance. In Germany, the perishability of doping is regulated by the Anti-Doping Act. In the USA, the home country of the athlete in this case study, there is not only a similar law, but also further legal possibilities to sue athletes from other countries for doping abuse. In this first case study, we will briefly discuss what is understood by law and justice in the outside world. Because some books, in which the author advertises to read this twice, so can also be recommended to read it in another language. The subject in German "Recht und Gerechtigkeit" leaves a wide scope for interpretation. Translated into English, it is "Law and Justice" and recognizes a clear legal affiliation. Therefore, a clearly definable crime is needed. In this example, it is the intravenous injection of the performance-enhancing drug erythropoietin, which is not only found as a prohibited substance in the German Anti-Doping Act, but also in the US one. The case can be quickly explained from a legal perspective. The athlete and offender broke applicable law and was punished by being banned from competitions for 3 years. Guilt and Atonement. Or better translated as in English: Crime and Punishment. The task of the court to restore justice? Let the law be an external imposition of the individual will. It serves two main purposes: to protect individuals from the selfish tendencies of others and to maintain social stability. The law acts as a deterrent, prescribing punishments for actions that violate social norms, and serves as a mechanism to restrain the selfish aspects of the will.
"And I tell you, as Blümchenfeld, our Frohdena or even this Biden there splash in the water, cycle and run, one gives me only this substance (Epo) and I swing the thing in Hawaii also under 8 hours! " This freely invented comment is meant to be in line with the 2nd word of the topic. Justice. The subjective sense of justice. Because this vividly clueless third seems to feel in no way limited in his feeling for justice. Even contrary he can lift himself imaginatively above all the other sportsmen by this case, in which he can question their achievements generally as legitimate. Since this comment is invented, let's look at the real comments of the presumably sensitively aggrieved. We have familiar names there. We won't mention real well-known names: you will find them in the sources.
"Cheating in sports destroys any joy that comes with it...it makes any result irrelevant."
"It breaks my heart when I see an athlete resort to such unethical methods."
"The worst thing that can happen to a sport is silence. Many people who care about the sport are asking the right questions. What can we change? "And why couldn't we prevent this case?"
From a sports article in the FAZ5.
Using these two examples, that of the freely invented comment versus the publicly shared opinions of 3 well-known athletes, the concepts of justice and temporal or human justice are considered based on the doping case.
However, our favourite philosopher considered justice as a more complex and elusive concept. He criticized the idea of absolute justice, claiming that it was an illusion. Instead, he held that justice is relative and subjective, and varies in different societies and cultures. He believed that justice, influenced by human selfishness, often gives priority to the interests of the powerful and influential.
Furthermore, he distinguished temporal or human justice from eternal justice. It is the latter concept that will be clarified in the second part.
The fact that justice is relative, and individual can be discussed very well in our example. Because, to bring the so-called sphere model6 here a little derived in connection, the just in a sphere standing top sportsmen are confronted with that of the almost completely outside standing "clueless one". Accordingly, the sense of justice differs considerably from these different perspectives. The intentional breaking of the law, the deviation from a created norm and the punishment developed consequently by the uncovering of the criminal act can just be confronted by these different spheres also differently in the form of a just non-recovered sense of justice, here that of the sportsmen, with the rather unconcerned sense of justice of the unsuspecting third party.
The question remains open whether a law can ever ensure justice. And whether it would even be the actual goal of a law to provide justice. Here, the temporal aspect of justice is briefly explained. With temporal, that is temporal, justice in time and space is most likely meant, even if it has an inherently temporal character, namely that it lies in the future. Further crimes, in this case doping abuse, are to be prevented. The actual goal, according to our favourite -philosopher, is not the prevention of suffering, which can be found in different individual forms in the higher sphere of sport in general, which includes that of triathlon.
The fact that here the emotions about the pronounced sentence (3 years ban from competition) also boiled up a bit, was shown by comments such as that this punishment was too mild, that justly a lifelong ban should have been executed, or that already quite high prize money should have been returned - whereas this "reparation act" could have been seen as nothing more than a foolish admission for the use of the banned substances at the time of the respective competition.
In short, many affected athletes are left behind, fans or friends of the sport. On the other hand, the sport got attention from a completely different side. The side of the unsuspecting regulars' sloganeers. We have deliberately taken this extreme example of the other side, almost outside the sports sphere, to contrast it with that of the athletes. For the mental self-aggrandizement of the clueless is listed as an example of how a sport could possibly be perceived in parts of the population now, for a limited time. As a sport whose results are not to be taken seriously because "they're all doping at the top anyway". It makes any result irrelevant. Damage to the image. It is there and cannot be legally fixed. Man is not only a logical thinker, but we are also a sentient one. So, this image damage affects the higher sphere of sport in general. Even if only temporally. Therefore, temporal justice in the form of jurisdiction imposed by the state, in the form of observance and enforcement of the given laws will never achieve absolute justice, since absolute justice is equal to that of eternal justice, according to our very own opinion. Temporal justice, as mentioned above, aims at deterrence and the prevention of future crimes. That the aggrieved persons do not always agree with the given legislation, this is explained by the individual sphere character, the individual perception. But the question of eternal justice, and what is the smallest and largest sphere, remains open. One could also define justice in such a way, according to our personal view, that, if possible, the original state, the "source state", the state before "the evil one" did the deed, is restored. What is the original state? What is the source, in German "Ursprungs-Zustand“? This is the transition to our most impressive "Self-Exposure", also here the German translation "Selbst-Entlarvung" should be mentioned.
“AND now for something completely different.” A quote from a book of the American Mythologist with the thousand faces:
“The story that I shared from the Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upaniṣad tells how brahman, the Universal Self, had not known of itself. It simply was. As soon as it said “I” (ātman), it felt fear. With the birth of ego you have fear, the wolf.
Still, ātman reasoned, “Of what should I be afraid since there is no one or no thing around but myself?” Then, however, immediately it thought of its solitude. It wished there was someone else there, and so it was filled with desire, and that is the dog. As soon as there is ego, there is fear and desire.” 7
B.: Uh Oh, friend, what do you think, does this have something to do with law and justice?
*~cc~*.: Sure it does! We need a case. AND here it is. The biggest cheat. The division of nothingness into two. So, inside an illusionary sphere there is Atman, outside excluded there is Brahman. A case for earthbound litigation? Mission impossible. This is the case of eternal justice.
B.: We wanted to keep the first part as short as possible. There should also be a bit of fun. Now for something serious ? Eternal Justice.
*~cc~*: Row on !
Part 2.
The biggest cheat in the virtual world aligned with the principle of
The Eternal Justice.
[Ich bin] ein Teil von jener Kraft,
Die stets das Böse will und stets das Gute schafft. ...
Ich bin der Geist, der stets verneint!
Und das mit Recht; denn alles, was entsteht,
Ist wert, daß es zugrunde geht;
Drum besser wär's, daß nichts entstünde.
So ist denn alles, was ihr Sünde,
Zerstörung, kurz das Böse nennt,
Mein eigentliches Element. 8
Also, the second case, this time not a legal case for a juridical system, needs an imagination to think oneself into it. To recognize, learn and understand intention and motives. A game. A social game. To be able to run with the spirit of the times: in addition, virtually. We say it is the "Mensch Ärger dich nicht" in virtual form. Everyone gets only 2 game pieces. One runs, the other rides a bike. There is no splashing in or on the water. The game basically serves to test the throwing ability of a player, in our case it is the "to be", and from the perspective of law and justice this time he takes the role of the cheater. The one who sits in the background on a machine and holds the strings in his hands. A purposeful role reversal. Because in our case, the dice simply don't match the corresponding game pieces. That's why we say right from the start that this is a case of cheating. Since there is no legal basis for this offense, since there is no law that forbids this kind of playing, it is our task to set up our very own rules for our own highly individual approach to the game. We can preach morality here for a long time. Establishing morality would be a much harder task. Conversely, we can be accused of the lack of morality. But here the question remains open- which of us in the equation would be accused of this deficit. We will now briefly introduce ourselves by referring to the model of the psyche of a Swiss psychologist: a circle with a point in the middle.9
If we imagine it in three dimensions, it becomes a sphere. Especially the ego and the persona system should be mentioned- and with request of completeness do the necessary self-reading: what is the correct counterpart, if the earthbound part is male ? We presuppose this knowledge herewith as known. Since there is not really a law for our offense - we will turn now briskly to the subject of eternal justice. With a purposeful role exchange the opposite objectifies itself. A paradox? Is this not possible in the real world? We do the thing together in the virtual world in the form of a game character, in our “Mensch Ärger dich nicht” game. We have not yet cheated ourselves with this. We are far from the norm with this. Moreover, we are entering the realm of the super-natural and superstitions. A scientific contribution with this starting position given to us is not possible. Is it not only just and right, for what the thing the outer world serves as a view, just after this model to reverse, to do the same. Just as any argumentations, which try to define clearly what one under eternal justice, from scientific perspective, fail. This calls for a metaphysical perspective, which is far outside of the norm. Because this state, that of eternal justice, lies outside of time and space and is therefore inaccessible to the subject of cognition and to man, who is subject to the Principium Individuationis. We will now define the terms right and justice individually. This is how one would like to regain an original state. Eternal justice as simply the original state. In this case, the goal of a court and a jurisdiction would have to be to provide justice and to strive for the reversal to the original state. As if it was the rock of the Sisyphus, which finds in reversal again downward to its original place. Of course, this is not possible from the perspective in time and space in sober consideration of the given dimension and the individual character of the felt injustice suffering. Therefore, the attempt of a complete and just restoration of the original state by temporal justice is an illusion. Therefore, temporal justice aims at the future prevention of a crime. Thus, the preservation of the status quo from any crime.
We will quote here again the Indian philosopher, who just also in the latter, less known section of his commentary on “the self”, the actual original essence of this self, that is, that of the natural state of origin- and thus of eternal justice:
“The cause of this inward emptiness is the desire to become; and, do what you will, this emptiness can never be filled. You may escape from it in a crude way, or with refinement; but it is as near to you as your shadow. You may not want to look into this emptiness, but nevertheless it is there. The adornments and the renunciations that the self assumes can never cover this inward poverty. By its activities, inner and outer, the self tries to find enrichment, calling it experience or giving it a different name according to its convenience and gratification. The self can never be anonymous; it may take on a new robe, assume a different name, but identity is its very substance. This identifying process prevents the awareness of its own nature. The cumulative process of identification builds up the self, positively or negatively; and its activity is always self-enclosing, however wide the enclosure. Every effort of the self to be or not to be is a movement away from what it is. Apart from its name, attributes, idiosyncrasies, possessions, what is the self? Is there the "I," the self, when its qualities are taken away? It is this fear of being nothing that drives the self into activity; but it is nothing, it is an emptiness.
If we are able to face that emptiness, to be with that aching loneliness, then fear altogether disappears and a fundamental transformation takes place. For this to happen, there must be the experiencing of that nothingness - which is prevented if there is an experiencer. If there is a desire for the experiencing of that emptiness in order to overcome it, to go above and beyond it, then there is no experiencing; for the self, as an identity, continues. If the experiencer has an experience, there is no longer the state of experiencing. It is the experiencing of what is without naming it that brings about freedom from what is."3
This Indian philosopher should make clear to us here that the metaphysical concept of the eternal justice, just also according to the conception of our favourite philosopher, cannot be defined by legal human laws or mathematically treatable accurately written down laws. The metaphysical concept of the eternal justice lies completely outside of our sphere. Or rather is the reunion to the sphere, whereupon it escapes us of the cognition and becomes what it really is in the essence: Nothing.
"That such an eternal justice really lies in the essence of the world will soon become completely obvious to him who has grasped it.... Of course, the world does not present itself to cognition, as it is born of the will to serve it, to the individual as such, as it finally reveals itself to the researcher, as the objectivity of the one and only will to life, which he himself is; but the view of the raw individual is clouded, as the Indians say, by the veil of Maya: Instead of the thing in itself, he sees only the appearance, in time and space, the principio individuationis, and in the other forms of the proposition of the ground: and in this form of his limited knowledge he sees not the essence of things, which is one, but its appearances, as separate, distinct, innumerable, very different, even opposed. There, lust appears to him as one thing, and the pain as quite another, this man as tormentor and murderer, that as sufferer and victim, evil as one thing and evil as another.”10
We dance a little around the concept of "eternal justice, like a trickster, imaginative, that's why we want to paraphrase further and never believe that one can make out an absolute fixed point on the spinning sphere:
An eye in a blue face
Saw an eye in a green face.
‘That eye is like to this eye’
Said the first eye,
‘But in low place,
Not in high place.’11
We recall the chapter “On the Indestructibility of our Essential Being by Death”. At this point, for amusement, we also start a dialogue. It is a dialogue between the one who is earthbound in low place, who seems “to be” and thus holds in his hands the daisy, the actually low, the thing in itself, Atman, and the higher self, which likewise can be perceived only as a highly abstract phantastic phenomenon, in an imagination, the Brahman, which in this equation is the sun, which cannot be.
To be, or not to be, that is the question: (Shakespear)
B.(to be): The eternal justice, how can you teach me about it ?
*~cc~*(not to be): Because you don't want to get lost in the details, with laws to make just what has never been just from the beginning.
B. : You are talking about my existence. It is all that I am. How can it not be just ?
*~cc~*: Is what you are your real existence ? What are you more than a few memories and dreams of the future ? Than your constant thoughts of your possessions, your achievements. Where is the now in your existence ? Where are you true to yourself and are what you really are at the core ?
B.: And yet, if I am nothingness in the innermost core of my self, I am, if only for some time, let my illusion "to be".
*~cc~*: Seeing the illusion is the beginning of intelligence.
B.: Is it just what you and I are doing ?
*~cc~*: We do this because it is not only possible, because it is not only forbidden, because there is no moral basis for this kind of cheat - because there can be no talk of being injustice, because it is me in this equation, which despite the purposeful exchange of roles merely in a game, has done all the decisions for us from the background.
B.: So, according to your opinion, all the crimes of this world, all the injustices, all the evil suffering, the agony and the accompanying question of a culprit, are not to be sought in the decision-making power of man, but, since these have been made outside of time and space, already in the background, so these decisions of any deed are to be attributed to the actual perpetrator, the decider, in our equation yours truly. But no law of this world will ever be able to lead you to court.
*~cc~*: Right ! Because, after all, we are talking about eternal justice, not temporal justice.
B.: According to this, I am indeed the active earth-bound part, which strives in the direction away from the origin, however, according to your view, my decisions are already determined. I should adhere to the laws and norms during my lifetime. We have broken these. Standing far far away outside the norm. I strive for greatness. Whether it is glorious to be responsible for the "biggest scandal" in a sport can be questioned. The dimension of a crime, that is, the size and therefore the severity of a crime, should also give a judge of temporal justice a clue to the necessary sentence, the punishment in space and time. I contradict here for our first example that it is the biggest scandal. Because there have been other cases of doping abuse, even in the German professional triathlon previously known. I am still neither strength nor will to name names. But why should I speak for our part of the biggest cheat? Is this not also again in Pippi Longstocking manner a simple lie ? Are we then the biggest cheat ?
*~cc~*: Oh Buddy, don't make it so difficult for yourself. If you mention us already so often as it already happened here, in form of a plural, then it is to be said to all here that it is the me in this equation, which makes from our play the largest cheating of all times. However, not a crime. No breach of law. I play by law because everything that comes into being is worthy of perishing. I make the decisions from the background. Not in space and time. Therefore be told to all, that I am not interested in supposedly "real" comparisons, in the form of a competition or a contest, for reasons of compassion and thus fairness. Therefore: Out of competition. It is you, my Buddy, in our equation, which would like to compare. Recognizes dualism. Perceiving the opposite as what they are, learn to recognize their real essence, One they are, in the moment of the moment.
B.: Then we would all be absolved in relation to eternal justice since the decisions were already determined. Since I cannot really trust you, I have no choice but to question. I know that I know nothing. Therefore, I cannot know if my decisions are determined. We will probably never really know. However, we may question free will.
*~cc~*: A good example of questioning free will- and to be able to run with the zeitgeist again, as a convenient video, offers the interview "The Power of Myth"12 with the American with a 1000 Faces. I recommend watching the entire video. In case athletes feel offended in honor because of the pessimistic statements of some philosophers, the American provides relative justice, reports on a personal "Peak Experience" (33min33s). The question of determinism - and in this context of culpability - is mentioned at the back of the video with our favorite philosopher mentioned by name:"The main Elements in a consistent plott"(45min45s) - very good example of determination. As long as one lives, this determination remains mostly in the background, so Buddy please, justify why temporal justice is of importance to your life on this small planet.
B.: But even our supposedly free decisions, when they have been exposed as injustice, require an earthly temporal court, only in this way is a social order possible. The world as a large ski run. Here, too, there are norms. Moral signposts. Rules of conduct, but not laws. The extent to which the FIS rules13 have been disregarded, however, is used in judging in a court of law, e.g. in the context of an accident with physical consequences. This as an example of the constant transition of a norm, a rule, to the usability in court.
But now we are talking about eternal justice. This is also defined in such a way that it belongs to the essence of this world. Friend, explain yourself !
*~cc~*: I give you the hint to the world as a whole! Please try to illuminate this. To the essence of this world belongs the closing of the circle. The rolling back of the boulder to the origin.
B.: The punishment must be connected here with the offense in such a way that both are One.
The existence as such is unjust. Existence is the evil, therefore it would be better that nothing would arise. How can the offense be connected with the punishment in such a way that both are one? That would be the closing of the circle. Alpha and Omega. The rolling back of the boulder of Sisyphus to the origin. The end of all dualism. The joining of Atman and Brahman, with the realization: both are One, both were never really separate. The end of illusion. The end of existence. So this is the eternal righteousness.
*~cc~*: How could I define it any other way. Remains some inconsistencies of the famous German poet and thinker. How can destruction be in my sphere ? Am I not the force which always negates - and unites ? I am the force which in the end provides eternal justice.
B.: Destruction - and with it any suffering and injustice, lies with exact consideration of the opposite, in the active element. The element of existence. The will as striving objectifying. The existence as spirit, which always affirms. And destroys. Wrongs. The active Yang in the equation. Yin the passive counterpart. The free fall back to the origin. Thus it is the essence of the world that everything that comes into being perishes.
*~cc~*: Let's finish it together as a team !
B.*~cc~*.:Eternal justice is the reunion: "It is finished" and "I command my spirit into your hands." The final and absolute closing of the circle as a whole. The only moment in life when true enlightenment can be spoken of. In life, only a relative alignment, a state of relative balance of the opposites can be assumed. Absolute justice, that is, that of eternal justice, accordingly cannot exist during one's lifetime. What is the Quietiv in this equation ? We want to speak of eternal justice also here, but we cannot do it in form as an absolute. To raise it to a quietive therefore means for us a best possible balance, a best possible alignment to what could be called eternal justice. We recognize this "alignment", this balance of will affirmation and negation, in a speech of our Indian philosopher.
The Art of Living and Dying, as a team: "When I am attached to this piece of furniture, I am that piece of furniture. I know you are laughing, but you don't want to let go of this piece of furniture. So death says to you, "My friend, you can't take the desk with you. So can you be completely free, completely free from this attachment to this piece of furniture? You live with this piece of furniture, but totally free from the attachment to this piece of furniture. That is death. Do you understand? So you are living, living and dying all the time. Oh, you don't see how beautiful that is! You don't see the freedom it gives you, the energy, the ability. Where you are bound, there is anxiety, there is restlessness, uncertainty; uncertainty, anxiety, causes sorrow. "13
We have not finished yet, first a quotation from our favorite philosopher, which should clarify the difference between the art of living and dying, that is, that of relative justice to absolute justice:
"We shudder at death perhaps chiefly because it stands there as the darkness out of which we once emerged and into which we are now to return. But I believe that when death closes our eyes, we stand in a light of which our sunlight is but the shadow."
Law and justice. They are not opposites. We want to finish one thought, just this one thought. In the same way, we recognize the world as will and representation (WWR) not as opposite. The world as will, as striving, life-affirming will, we recognize as the force away from the source, away from this one eternal light, so that the will can recognize itself: so the world is there for it only as representation, although this is no longer the one eternal light, therefore this world as representation, belonging to this striving will, is a non-just, not real world- therefore an unjust world it is. The eternal justice, which cannot be experienced in lifetime, only in one moment of life, but as a relative alignment, as an alignment, as a relative justice, in the art of living and dying, or as our favorite philosopher explains it: the negation of the will, the "elevation" to the quietiv. Thus we recognize in this the correct counterpart to the world as representation. To explain this as briefly as possible, with only a few letters, in which the abbreviation of the former need not be explained, but of the latter, because with Q nothing else than the Quietiv can be meant, and with UW the "unwillingness", which drops the macabre game, the veils of the Maya, the negation of the will, thus results the best possible alignment, an equation:
WWR vs. WUWQ
(World as Will and Representation vs. World as Un-Will and Quietiv).
That with "Quietiv" in itself the eternal justice is meant, and with it the original state, the source state, the eternal light or whatever name they may give for it, we don't want to deny, but we can't be this Quietiv, we can align to it only relatively, therefore we speak of relative justice, the best possible balance, which can't be absolute. As long as one lives, the needle of the balance will never come to rest.
And once again our favorite philosopher:
"Now that such an eternal justice really lies in the nature of the world will soon become completely evident to whoever has grasped the whole of the thought which we have hitherto been developing. The world, in all the multiplicity of its parts and forms, is the manifestation, the objectivity, of the one will to live. Existence itself, and the kind of existence, both as a collective whole and in every part, proceeds from the will alone. The will is free, the will is almighty. The will appears in everything, just as it determines itself in itself and outside time. The world is only the mirror of this willing; and all finitude, all suffering, all miseries, which it contains, belong to the expression of that which the will wills, are as they are because the will so wills. Accordingly with perfect right every being supports existence in general, and also the existence of its species and its peculiar individuality, entirely as it is and in circumstances as they are, in a world such as it is, swayed by chance and error, transient, ephemeral, and constantly suffering; and in all that it experiences, or indeed can experience, [454] it always gets its due. For the will belongs to it; and as the will is, so is the world. Only this world itself can bear the responsibility of its own existence and nature—no other; for by what means could another have assumed it? Do we desire to know what men, morally considered, are worth as a whole and in general, we have only to consider their fate as a whole and in general. This is want, wretchedness, affliction, misery, and death. Eternal justice reigns; if they were not, as a whole, worthless, their fate, as a whole, would not be so sad. In this sense we may say, the world itself is the judgment of the world. If we could lay all the misery of the world in one scale of the balance, and all the guilt of the world in the other, the needle would certainly point to the centre "10
We do not contradict at all, because this absolute equilibrium will be achieved only in one moment of life, enlightened, because the closing of the circle, the Alpha and Omega, circumscribes this eternal justice.
Finally, we mention a name, a Roman one, because precisely our favorite philosopher also used the Roman names - and not, as we do, the original Greek ones. It is again a paradox. A role reversal. Law and justice. Who would like to talk about this, cheating in a game and list-rich tricks may invite with pleasure. We let the divine Minerva "expose" herself:
Minerva exposes herself:
“Any man —any god who met you —
would have to be some champion lying cheat to get past you for all-round craft and guile!
You terrible man,
foxy, ingenious, never tired of twists and tricks
—so, not even here, on native soil,
would you give up those wily tales that warm the cockles of your heart!
Come, enough of this now. We’re both old hands at the arts of intrigue.
Here among mortal men you’re far the best at tactics, spinning yarns,
AND I am famous among the gods for wisdom, cunning wiles, too.
Ah, but you never recognized me, did you?"
